THE WHY  

The Angela Blake Foundation is the namesake of my mother who raised seven children and did so on a single middle-class income on the Caribbean Island of Jamaica.  In the midst of raising seven children on a single-parent income, she faced many financial and personal adversities.  As a family, we faced many instances of food deprivation. We struggled to maintain the most basic necessities, from clothing to shelter and food.  Through it all, my mother always put her children and their education first. We were in school every day no matter the circumstance.  I am in a position now where I can give back and pay it forward and thus the formation of the Angel Blake Foundation.
